He began the great official gouvernment publication of the monuments and papyri in the Leiden collection in 1839, which appeared in parts from then until 1882. Willem Pleyte (1836-1903) was conservator of the Egyptian collections at Leiden, later director of the Museum. A gelatin silver photograph of a section of the actual Papyrus is included. It comes from the collection of Egyptologist Prof. Heerma van Voss (1923-2015) with his ink stamp on verso. Beinlich-Seeber 11572.
