O. G. Lofts, Josie Packman, a.o. Issue 178 includes a loosely inserted flyer for a stage production at the Victoria Palace, Billy Bunter Shipwrecked; and Numbers 486 and 505 include brief handwritten notes from the editor, Mary Cadogan. The Collectors' Digestwas founded in 1946 by Herbert Leckenby, who was succeeded as editor/publisher by Eric Fayne in November 1959, and by Mary Cadogan in 1987. In the 1960s it merged with The Story Paper Collector, which had been founded in Canada in 1941 by William H. Gander.
