Recorded on broadcast in 1940 but this set apparently released 1977. Here reduced from $17.

A baritone, he sang leading roles with the Metropolitan Opera in New York City more than 600 times between 1923 and 1950. He also performed a number of musical theatre roles, including Captain Hook in a touring production of Peter Pan.

Contains the signature of Chicago-based musician Donald Knight; otherwise clean and tight. The jacket has a small closed tear at the bottom of the front panel, but is otherwise intact. A collection of the opera singer's writings, illustrated with black and white photographs. Measures approx. 10.75" x 7.6".
