Print: 11.5 x 17.5 cm (including 0.5 cm white border). In good condition, neatly laid down on piece of wove paper, 22.5 x 29 cm, with black ink border. Printed on shiny art paper on light-brown background, and probably a photographic reprinting of the original. Captioned 'THE EDITOR OF "THE CABINET CYCLOPAEDIA".' With facsimiles of Lardner's and 'Alfred Croquis's signatures. Lardner spent the years 1841 to 1844 lecturing in America (often to considerable audiences) while fleeing the scandal of his affair with the married Mary Heaviside.…
