Paperback. Condición: New. Print on Demand. This thought-provoking book delves into the philosophical and theological landscape of the 13th to 16th centuries, a time of intellectual ferment that shaped the development of Catholic doctrine. The author traces the evolution of ideas from the dominance of Aristotelianism to the rise of challenges from figures like Duns Scotus, William of Ockham, and Martin Luther. Through a comprehensive examination of their theories and their impact, the book sheds light on the emergence of eclecticism in the work of later thinkers like Francisco Suarez, who sought to reconcile diverse perspectives within a coherent theological framework. By exploring the historical and intellectual context of this era, the author provides a valuable contribution to our understanding of the enduring influence of these ideas on Western thought and the ongoing quest for truth within the Catholic tradition.
