Complete two volume set of Southeast Asian Tribes, Minorities, and Nations, edited by Peter Kunstadter and published by Princeton University Press in 1967 for the Princeton Center of International Studies. A substantial scholarly reference on ethnography, tribal societies, and nation formation in Southeast Asia during a critical Cold War era of regional transformation. This set retains rare original publisher ephemera, including the Oxford University Press review slip dated 14th September 1967, an Asia Major compliments card, and a Harper & Row printed matter announcement addressed to E. M. Mendelson at 21 Kidderpore Gardens, London NW3. Mendelson is the birth name of poet and anthropologist Nathaniel Tarn, adding meaningful provenance and research interest.
