This item is printed on demand - it takes 3-4 days longer - Neuware -Plant growth-promoting rhizobacteria (PGPR) are the rhizosphere bacteria that can enhance plant growth by a wide variety of mechanisms. PGPR strains were isolated from the rhizosphere soils of rice. The isolates were tested for their plant growth promoting (PGP) traits, seed germination ability, extra cellular enzyme production, salt and temperature tolerance. The isolates were most effective, which may be useful as biofertilizers, they enhanced the growth of rice due to the production of ammonia, IAA, HCN, phosphate solubilization and also having antifungal activity against phyto pathogenic fungi. Utilization of PGPB to increase the productivity may be a viable alternative to inorganic fertilizers in a sustainable and environmentally friendly manner. The study aims at to reduce the pollution and preserve the environment by ecofriendly agriculture practice. 88 pp. Englisch.
