Ze leverden kritiek op de hebzucht en irrationeel gedrag tijdens de handelsgolf.Soms werden ze geschreven als dialoog of satire tussen personages, bijvoorbeeld zamenspraeken tusschen Waermondt ende Gaergoedt, waarin Waermondt de waarheid spreekt en Gaergoedt als ex-speculant berouw toont.Mooi overzicht van deze primaire bronnen uit het jaar van de tulpenmanie, speculatieve handel in tulpencontracten rond 1636 waarbij kopers en verkopers futures-achtige overeenkomsten sloten. Die handel eindigde abrupt toen de markt instortte in februari 1637.Volledig linnen band met goudopdruk, schutbladen licht gebruind verder in goede conditie.
