Añadir al carritoHardcover. Condición: Very Good. Estado de la sobrecubierta: Good. 1st Edition. Tan cloth. 4to. xxi, 1, 591pp. Light blue printed dust jacket. A collection of papers by the Scottish meteorologist and physicist who was one of the founders of cloud physics and aerosol science. The book contains many interesting notes on Aitken's l…ife and on the many scientific subjects he studied during his career. Knott presents 38 papers, which he calls "the cream of Dr. Aitken's own descriptions of his far-reaching investigations," from among the 98 papers that Aitken wrote on the various phenomena he observed and measured in the laboratory, as well as in the atmosphere and hydrosphere. A very good, bright copy with some light wear to the lower spine. This copy has the ownership signature of Yale professor and climate science pioneer, Barry Saltzman, but the text is otherwise very good and clean. The jacket is good with some fading and edgewear. It has some chipping along the top and bottom edge and lacks a small piece at the spine bottom. Scarce in the jacket. Foreign postage extra on this large and heavy book.
