Hard Cover. Condición: Fine. Estado de la sobrecubierta: Fine. First Edition. A Fine unmarked copy with Fine dustjacket which is not price clipped.xiv + 221 pages. Foreword by Captain Morin Scott. Based on Edward Beck's diaries. Edward Beck was the author's maternal grandfather's uncle, and was a watch-keeper officer on merchant sailing ships trading in the 1820's. In port, Beck had the job of supervising many of the tasks of repairing or replacing worn and damaged rigging. A vivid picture of what a seaman's life in a trading ship was like in the 1820's. 12 Size: 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.…
