You come out of the Modernist tradition of not being complacent, not really gaining an overview, but showing how through intense work, over time, something does appear. The quality of the work is something I think you love as well as want to challenge. Despite fixed light, time, subject, as such, you have as much and as little control as anyone else. The struggle of the work is never shown, but the staging of reference is anchoring and the decision to continue within a controlled environment allows the hope of great discovery and change (LL).
