Diese Termini werden als kognitive Einheiten betrachtet, die ein Konzept in einer spezifischen kognitiven Struktur ausdrücken und darstellen und die auf einen grammatikalischen Bereich spezialisiert sind. Die meisten terminologischen Begriffe erscheinen in der Form eines Substantivs, aus der aber auch Verben oder Adjektive abgeleitet werden kà nnen, die Begriffe symbolisieren, die in ihrer Bedeutung diesen Substantiven nahestehen. Das Fachwà rterbuch für Linguistik hat zum Ziel, v.a. arabischen Grammatikologen und Grammatikologinnen sowie interessierten Lesenden eine Hilfestellung bei der Weiterverfolgung dessen zu bieten, was im Bereich der modernen Linguistik auf Deutsch geschrieben und publiziert wurde.
