Volgens velen is Van Oude Mensen de Dingen die Voorbij Gaan zijn absolute meesterwerk. Het is het verhaal van twee hoogbejaarde mensen, van wie het schijnbaar rustige leventje wordt beheerst door berouw om een vreselijke misdaad die ze in een ver verleden hebben begaan. De spoken uit het verleden blijven hen achtervolgen en drijven hen tot waanzin. Het geheim dat deze oude mensen met zich meedragen, zal de volgende generaties in hun families blijven beïnvloeden, totdat er iemand opstaat om voorgoed af te rekenen met het verleden. Maar wie zal dat zijn en is het wel verstandig om al het oude zeer weer boven te halen? Walter van der Kamp maakte in 1975 deze prachtige, zevendelige miniserie. Speciaal voor deze dvd-uitgave werd de serie door hem volledig opnieuw bekeken en gemonteerd. Wat rest is een boeiend verhaal, dat u bijna 5 uur lang op het puntje van uw stoel zal houden!
