Hardcover. Condición: Fair. No Jacket. First Edition. The "Model Railroader Cyclopedia: Railroad Equipment Prototype Plans," 5th Edition, presents a fascinating and comprehensive collection of railroad equipment prototype plans, compiled by The Modelmaker Corporation and A. C. Kalmbach. This hardcover edition is the 5th edition, 3rd printing, published by Kalmbach Publishing Co. of Milwaukee in 1947.The book features a forest green cloth cover adorned with gold lettering on the front and spine, adding an elegant touch to the edition. While the covers are in decent shape, there is some wear to the lower corners, and the spine ends show slight indentations. Additionally, the binding is a bit weak, noticeable at the head of the spine. However, all pages remain intact with uncracked hinges, ensuring the book's structural integrity.Inside, a former owner's bookplate is affixed to the front paste-down, adding a touch of personal history to the edition. However, significant foxing is visible on the endpapers and edges of the text block, lending a vintage charm to the book. The interior pages are unmarked, though they carry a bit of musty odor, which is common in books of this age.Rest assured, the book will be carefully packaged for shipment, providing optimal protection from any potential damage during transit.
