Paperback. Condición: New. Print on Demand. This book significantly expands our understanding of the crustacean fossils found in Bohemia during the Cretaceous period. Previously, only 26 species were known from this region, but the author's research has more than doubled that number to 72. These include 11 new genera and species. The author meticulously describes and illustrates each species, including a general overview of the Crustaocea, Order Thoracica, families Lepadidae (barnacles) and Ostracoden (seed shrimp), and individual descriptions of 6 Loricula species and 58 Cirriped and Ostracod species. The book is richly illustrated with 150 plates, including photographs, drawings, and diagrams. These fossils offer valuable insights into the biodiversity and evolutionary history of crustaceans, shedding light on their role in ancient marine ecosystems. The author's comprehensive approach and detailed analysis provide a valuable resource for paleontologists, geologists, and anyone interested in the fascinating world of prehistoric crustaceans. This book is a reproduction of an important historical work, digitally reconstructed using state-of-the-art technology to preserve the original format. In rare cases, an imperfection in the original, such as a blemish or missing page, may be replicated in the book. print-on-demand item.…
