An album of selected paintings prints and sculptures from the Sichuan Institute of Fine Arts has recently been released by the Chongqing Publishing House. The album includes 112 photographs of art works produced by the Institute s teachers and students over the last decade. Most are color plates. The themes of the paintings vary widely, ranging from daily life to grassland scenery in Tibet. Many depict people of minority nationalities in Sichuan Province. Some of the paintings reflect features of Chinese folk art The prints in the album demonstrate the Sichuan artists unique style. This very large format book, 112 pages measuring 348mm X 258mm is in near-fine condition in a very-good dust jacket that is now in a protective mylar wrap.
