Illustrated throughout with impressive colour facsimiles of the letters of William and Mary Wordsworth, this work provides exceptional insight into the personal life of the celebrated poet. Edited by Beth Darlington and with a foreword from Jonathan Wordsworth. Mary's papers came to market in July 1977, and were bought by the Trustees of Dove Cottage as the result of a successful public appeal the following March. They here print facsimiles of the letters alongside their transcripts. In the publisher's original morocco backed marbled paper covered boards, with cloth slip case with marbled paper onlay.
