Añadir al carritoHardcover. Condición: Very Good. Very Good overall; rubbing/bumping and in a few cases a little fraying to extremities; bookcloth (faux leather) has scattered tiny scuffs and light stains; gilt titling and decorations mostly quite faded; bookplates to first or second free page of each volume; front hinge of vol III starting, but just a little; two volumes have a pair of facing pages with reddish stains, from pressed plants; else Fine. Spines straight, pages clean and bright except as noted, many pages unopened at the fore edge: these books are essentially unread and have decent shelf appeal. Folding map at rear of Vol I is in perfect condition. No dust jackets issued. Volume I "Pathfinders" contains an extra page after the ffep stating "This imprint of the Gold Edition of the romanceful story of California has been inscribed to and registered in the name of George Lewis as a patron of the art and historic literature of the West - 98", suggesting this was one of a limited number of sets modified for early subscribers or friends of the publisher. (The bookplates bear the names "George and Mary Lou", presumably the same George the books are "inscribed and registered" to. Bound in brown faux leather with 5 raised bands on spine; gold-tinted pictorial endpapers with 8 vignettes (4 in front, 4 in rear of book) depicting scenes of California history. May require increased shipping price. Book.…
