The novelty of Mr Dibb?s book is that his primary divisions of classification are bionomic. Conventional taxonomic classifications are much less specific and thus a number of names conceal the identity of any given individual specimen. These are immediately reduced to a tenth or less by bionomic listing and this clearly makes it a much more congenial task to recognise an insect among 360 possibilities rather than amongst 3600 entries, as well as the chance of error being less.* A NEAR FINE text copy of the 1st. edition with NO MAJOR FAULTS.
