From the introduction, "This booklet attempts to portray the spread of settlement over Bottineau County and to give a word picture of the outstanding events in the county as they occurred. A minimum of four thousand homesteads were filed in the county so it is obvious that the listing of all homesteaders would be a monumental task. Names have as a consequence been kept to a minimum except when connected with the establishment of a settlement or events of county-wide interest." Very scarce.
