Hardcover. Condición: Very Good. Estado de la sobrecubierta: Very Good. 1st Edition. There is something inherently vintage about this book and I wonder if the topic: "Painting Roses on China" is still common? Doubtless there is someone out there who will enjoy this book and the guidance it provides. And then there is the collectible aspect to it; this book is signed by the Author. Even the binding--green cloth with silver gilt titling--seems a bit old-fashioned! Condition: This book is in very good condition. The dust jacket has some edge wear including three small tears and some wrinkles edges. The hard covers are clean and bright and barely bumped. Inside, the Author's signature, date and someone else gift inscription are the only marks I found. The interior pages and plates are clean and bright, without toning or foxing. Both hinges are intact and the binding is tight and sound. This book is not ex-library or a remainder. Jessie S. McCarthy (ilustrador). …

Bound in a quarto hardcover format, brown cloth over boards, sharp and distinct gilt-stamped lettering to spine and front cover and elaborate designs at the latter. Previous owner's signature and date at half-title, chip to spine head glue-repaired, light scuffing to spine foot, else quite fine outside and inside. Scuffing to tips, spine head and foot, but decorated endpapers front and rear and lovely illustrations and with tissue guards. Gift-inscription in pencil at frontis. Also likely a reprint of the Second Edition of Macmillan & Co. ; s at the latter. Previous owner's signature and date at half-title, chip to spine head glue-repaired, light scuffing to spine foot, else quite fine outside and inside.
