Softcover. Condición: Fine. Estado de la sobrecubierta: Very good. Original 1958 paperback devoted to the work and words of the San Francisco modernist sculptor Adaline Kent (1900-1957). Book is is very good condition. Slight soiling to dust jacket, one small chip, and a crease to the back corner. Until the publication of a rece…nt volume devoted to her life and work, it was difficult to find out much about her. Kent's unique abstract style, rooted in surrealism and inspired by nature, had links to her fellow Bay Area modernists: Isamu Noguchi, Mark Rothko, Clifford Still, and Ruth Asawa. This book, published by George Wittenborn in 1958 in conjunction with her husband and daughter, includes a brief biography. Available via reprints but exceedingly scarce in the original. Small 4to. 87 pp.
