In-folio (380 x 256 mm), 32 ff.n.ch. E.P. Goldschmidt, cat 135, n° 104 ("One of four numbered copies printed on vellum of this luxury facsimile edition sponsored by the great French architect, Hippolyte Destailleur. "This is an extraordinary series of woodcut outline sketches of landscapes, buildings, bridges and interiors, with figures. As the earliest illustrated printed book on perspective, the work has been fully described by a number of bibliographers and art historians. For the first time the problem of space dimensions has been solved. With this book we have definitely left ancient times and find ourselves in the modern era" (Mortimer). Doctoris (cachet humide).…
