Hinges cracked and a little toning and damage at edges of endpapers, some spotting and use marks throughout else internally neat. A lovely period collection of musical scores for easy pieces for young piano players, accompanied by charmingly delightful illustrations appropriate for each piece.

Signé par l'auteur.

Berny, projeté pour la première fois en février 1904 au théâtre des Mathurins à Paris. Les belles lithographies sont l'oeuvre du parolier lui-même, Lucien Métivet (1863-1932), comparse de Derain et Toulouse-Lautrec ; les silhouettes des personnages, porteurs de lampions, pêcheurs, cavaliers, mandarins et dames en palanquin, évoluent dans des décors d'inspiration chinoise. Les 15 tableaux de Métivet, portés sur plaque de verre par E. Lamouche, défilaient au cours de séances de "magie lumineuse", qui cherchaient à reprendre le flambeau d'Henri Rivière et Georges Fragerolle au Chat Noir ; l'Adadin de Métivet n'est pas sans évoquer La Marche à l'Étoile de Rivière (1890).
