Alan Villiers, technical consultant on the film, contributes The School of the Sea, including his account of the loss of the Pamir in 1957, and Sailing a Square-Rigger. Also includes a cadet's shipboard diary, a glossary of ship's terms, a color section of stills, and chapters on the Cinemiracle camera and projection system by director of photography Gayne Rescher.
