Añadir al carritogilt-stamped cloth. Condición: Very good. Warwick Gobel Ilustrador. Quarto (7" x 10"), navy gilt-stamped pictorial cloth. All edges dyed blue.280, (1)pp plus publisher's ad leaf. Forty stunning illustrations by Warwick Gobel tipped onto heavy brown stock illustrate the 38 tales. The plates are unpaginated. Slight wear at the extremities. Small dampstain on the back cover, lower left which can be seen as faint in the pictures. Endpapers toned. "These tales and legends have been collected from many sources. Some of them have been selected from the Ko-ji-ki, or Record of Ancient Matters, which contains the mythology of Japan. Many are told from memory, being relics of childish days, originally heard from the lips of a school fellow or a nurse. Certain of them, again, form favorite subjects for representation upon the Japanese stage." A lovely copy of this beautiful book.
