Fascinating volume detailing Jaeger's system of clothing intended to support good health. He particularly advocated the wearing of rough fabrics, especially wool, next to the skin. His teachings inspired the creation of the Jaeger clothing brand named after him. Gustav Jaeger (also spellt Jäger) (1832-1917) was a German naturalist and hygienist. He was a teacher of zoology and wrote various works on biological subjects. In 1878 he suggested the first crude version of the concept of pheromones, which proved to be very close to reality but, the idea was far ahead of what could be scientifically proven at the time.
