      First Edition. Original steel engraving on heavy art paper; 13-1/2" x 11-1/4" (plate); ca. 20" x 15" (sheet). Marked "Proof" in type below title. Margins of sheet once folded for framing, now unfolded; some soil, mended tears and foxing to extremities, much fainter within plate marks; printed area remains clean and unfaded; Very Good. A finely engraved bust portrait of Jackson; a portion of the image was later re-used for the famous "Black Jack" 2-cent postage stamp of 1863.
