Original brown blindstamped decorative cloth, approximately 5 x 7 7/8 inches, 216 pp + 270 pp, no illustrations. Hardcover, fair to good. Backstrip completely gone from spine, corners bumped with cardboard exposed there and at spots along edges of boards, an approximately 1 to 2 inch deep water(? ) stain adjoining spine, on top edge of textblock and upper corner. Iinternally, stain visible on first and last few leaves, the same, approximately 1/2 inch deep, on the top edges a several dozen leaves, previous owner's inscription (in pencil) , hinges cracked between a few of the gatherings, with a central one just barely attached, occasional bit of foxing, otherwise tight, clean, relatively crisp and unmarked.
