Synopsis: Trilingual edition (English, Spanish, French). 263 pages. Rolando Peña is one of the most outstanding Latin American artists of the 20th and 21st centuries. His long and uninterrupted international career has been characterized by seeking innovation, dialoguing with the fundamental concepts of our time, and pioneering the use of technology in art. Welcome to My Art World is a book that reconciles the works, critical notes, and ideas that have led this master to be part of important collections around the world and win well-deserved recognition such as that of the Guggenheim Foundation and that of the International Association of Art Critics (AICA). His reading wraps us in a prolific, passionate, and unique experience of life and art. The book, which in itself is an outstanding piece of art and design, takes us through "the wonderful sixties" when he was part of the unprecedented avant-garde movement in New York at the time and collaborated with figures such as Andy Warhol. His ingenuity in transforming oil into a myth of contemporary art and establishing a prime political-ecological position that already announced the demands of this century. His links between art, science, and technology have led him to experiment with the most state-of-the-art ideas in physics. His legacy in art: turning life into a poetry of infinity and expanding the human imagination from the most intimate of love to the ends of the Universe. Inscribed by Author(s).…
