Decorative Cloth. Condición: Good. Oscar Pletsch Ilustrador. First Edition. Dark royal blue cloth, lettered and decorated in gilt and black, back cover decorated in blind. Moderate shelf wear, cloth somewhat soiled/toned along joints, lined with what appear to be stray ink marks on a portion of front cover near fore-edge. Rubbed with mild exposure at corners and spine extremities. Binding firm, clean interior, text block edges somewhat dulled by age. Former owner's signature, dated Christmas 1874, on front flyleaf, with ghost on following blank. A few instances of light interior toning. Unpaginated, text alternating with chromolithographic plates printed on one side only and blanks inserted to protect them (original to issue), with a total (including frontis.) of (32) full page color plates. Title is given as "Buds and Flowers." on front cover and main title but as "Buds and Blossums." on a color illus. leaf preceding main title. Undated, date provided b/o gift inscription and so possibly published a year or several earlier. Technically Good due mostly to exterior cosmetic wear, interior VG or better. Quite scarce. Size: 12mo - over 6¾" - 7¾" tall. Book.
