Sheet Music. Condición: Good. Fischer No.156. Pleyel's Opus 23 (1789) is a fascinating set of six violin duets, cataloged as B.513-518. CONTENTS: (1) Allegro and Rondo in BbM; (2) Allegro and Rondo in DM; (3) Adagio-Presto and Menuetto-Trio in AM; (4) Allegro vivace and Rondo-Allegretto grazioso in FM; (5) Allegro and Rondo in CM; (6) Adagio-Allegro (Em), Menuetto (EM), Allegro in Em. 21 & 21 pages. CONDITION: Both copies have clear unmarked, uncreased pages, with moderate shelf-wear to the outer surfaces. Violin I's cover has a couple previous owners signatures and Violin II has some old taping on the corners and side. Nevertheless, this remains a quite respectable set - now in a clear, protective polypropylene bag with archival backing board.

[International No. 3188] Three engaging 1789 Quartets by the gifted French composer and piano builder (B.381-383 - *inaccurately designated here as Op.41), edited by Jean-Pierre Rampal. CONTENTS: (1) in D Major; (2) in F Major; (3) in A Major. The parts: 19+18+17+15 pages. CONDITION: A Very Good Plus to Near Fine set of parts - bright, securely-bound, uncreased, and unmarked - but for the previous owner's name on the cover of each component; in the cello part, "3"s have been added to a couple unclear triplets). The spine panel of the otherwise Near Fine folio cover is slightly worn. This remains an attractive set - now in a clear, protective polypropylene bag with archival backing board.
