E.; Edwards, David; Roberts, Hugh G., and Hughes, Thomas, Editors. Mankato, MN: The Free Press Printing Co., 1895. Text in both Welsh and English - first part Welsh, second part English. In 1894 all the Welsh of the state of Minnesota were invited to provide information for the book, and as the settlement of Fillmore county included part of Iowa, Foreston and Lime Springs were included. Much prominence is given to the Sioux massacre because it was so important in the experience of the Welsh pioneers. The biographies were written by various persons. Profusely illustrated with portraits and photographic illustrations. Hardcover, with bright gilt titles on the spine and debossed decorations on the cover. About 330 pages, 6.25x9.5 inches. Very good condition corners severely bumped and a bump on the back cover edge, a few light spots and a scrape on back cover. Firmly bound.
