Añadir al carritoWrappers. Condición: Very Good. First Edition. London: Markham House Press, Ltd., 1952. First Edition of the scarce and seminal September,1952 issue the series by famed editor of the paranormal, Egerton Sykes. Also, though nowhere so-stated, this issue is from the collection of noted UFOlogist Max Miller. A small and unprepossessing 12mo, light blue printed staple wraps, just 24 pp., but genre-historic. Age-toning throughout to the inexpensive paper of the pages, the two staples show some rust, else better than Very Good. A sturdy, clean, handsome copy. One of the remarkable Egerton Sykes' important journals in the field of Atlantology, of which many consider him to be the father. A one-time British intelligence officer and diplomat, Sykes became world-famous for his researches on the legendary continent of Atlantis. As a researcher, collector, writer and publisher in that field and the broader field of paranormal phenomena in general, the founder of three organizations - The Atlantis Research Center, The Hoerbiger Institute, and The Avalon Society - and the publisher through his Markham House publishing company of four magazines, including two bimonthly research journals, Atlantis (this one) and New World Antiquity, Sykes was a peerless and seminal influence. This scarce early issue of Atlantis: A Journal of Research includes"Flying Saucers and Negative Matter" (Sykes); "If the Moon Wins" (part II)(Commander Nutter, R.N.); "Velikovsky and His Theory" (G. Hinzpeter); "A Note on Chronology" (P. Allan); "Heresy!" (Commander Nutter); and "Many Columned Iram", "Two Early Hoerbiger Books", and "Pastor Spanuth and Atlantis". An extremely hard to find piece of history from Atlantology and the paranormal, from the collection of Max Miller, founder of Flying Saucers International. L103.
