Her father, a US Navy Captain, arrests the man because he disapproves of their relationship. Set in the island of Alava, shot on location in Bora Bora. 9.75 x 8 inches. Near Fine. Weldon 1996.

Loosely based on John Ford's 1937 film, which was in turn based on the 1936 novel by James Norman Hall and Charles Nordhoff. A doomed romance between a Samoan High Chief and a young American painter, the daughter of the patrician naval governor of the island. Set on the fictional island of Alaya in American Samoa, shot on location in Bora Bora. 8 x 9.75 inches. Three Near Fine, with light wear to the corners, three Very Good plus, with a few one-inch tears and faint creasing to the corners.
