This was the first book from David Anthony Kraft's Fictioneer imprint. REH imbued his western heroes with the same brooding over-the-top yet thrilling machismo as for Conan the Barbarian. There is an informative Afterword (midway through the book, following "The Vultures) by Glenn Lord who was long the executor of the Howard estate.
