Paperback. Condición: New. Print on Demand. This book offers a persuasive argument about the differences between the teachings of the Church of Rome and those of the reformed confessions dating back to the early 17th century. The author provides extensive historical context to explain how prior doctrinal controversies had a direct and significant impact on the development of key tenets of the reformed faith. The book investigates the motivations and arguments of the remonstrant movementâs controversial leaders. The author contrasts these positions with the traditional teachings of the reformed churches, which have been in place since before the schism. This includes a discussion of grace, free will, and personal responsibility as they relate to an individual's faith, along with issues of biblical authority, the Trinity, salvation, and many more topics. Those interested in the historical development of the reformed tradition, the relative prominence and influences of different factions within it, and the nuances of different positions on the contentious topics discussed in this book will find its contents enlightening and thought-provoking. This book is a reproduction of an important historical work, digitally reconstructed using state-of-the-art technology to preserve the original format. In rare cases, an imperfection in the original, such as a blemish or missing page, may be replicated in the book. print-on-demand item.…
