Herrick was an English seventeenth century lyric and Anglican poet. 'The Hesperides' is Herrick's magnum opus and features a collection of 1200 lyrical poems, with heavy themes of seizing the day. 'The noble' is a smaller collection of spiritual works. In the original publisher's gilt cloth. Externally smart with fading to the spines, slight rubbing to the extremities with very small closed tears to the head and tail of the spine. Offsetting to the endpapers with hinges starting.
