Superb letter from Paine to the person responsible for the layout of The Tent Dwellers dated 10 October 1908 on The Players [16 Gramercy Park, NY] stationary. In full: "Dear [?]: The "Tent Dwellers" is a beautiful book. I'm more proud of it than of any book I've had published. You deserve a lot of credit for having it done so handsomely. If it doesn't go it's not the fault of the manufacture - that's certain. Sincerely A B Paine." The letter, now loose, was tipped in on tabs at gutter following the front free endpaper.
