This is the catalogue, printed by the Curwen Press, to accompany 350 boxed sets of a signed facsimile edition. Henry Moore himself contributes a one page introductory piece, On the Origin of the West Wind Relie…f, in which he tells how, in 1928, he was invited to contribute a sculpture depicting the West Wind to the new headquarters of London Transport in St. James's, and how he arrived at his final design. Also included is a 2pp. essay by Alan G.Wilkinson, On the Evolution of the West Wind Relief and the Leeds Reclining Figure. There are four full-page photographic plates, plus three others, including a portrait of the young artist. All the catalogued items are accompanied by a small drawing of them. Fine.
