Añadir al carritoFirst British Edition. Quarto, pp., 63, [i], an illustrated poem to a page, plus 24 full-page colour plates. Collated and complete. Original publisher's pictorial green cloth, fairy-ring design by Harrison and titles in gilt to spine and upper board; pictorial front end-papers partially hand-coloured by a former juvenile owner;…all edges gilt. Contemporary ownership inscription in ink to recto of front free end-paper, and bookplate to verso. The slightest of shelf-wear to extremities, binding bright and fresh. Light scattered foxing to first and final leaves, with a few spots within, but generally clean and bright. Near-fine. Florence Harrison (1877-1955) was a prolific Australian illustrator working in both Art Nouveau and Pre-Raphaelite styles. Harrison illustrated the works of the Rossettis, William Morris, and Alfred Tennyson. A very attractive example of Harrison's work.
