Pencil marks on page 215; no other such marks readily apparent upon a quick perusal and interior pages are otherwise clean. Binding is firm. Else a very good copy in a very good dust jacket. This book was acquired from the personal library of Noel Polk (1943-2012) who, from the inscription, evidently obtained it while still a Ph.D. student at the University of South Caroline. Renowned for his scholarship regarding Southern literature, particularly the work of William Faulkner and Eudora Welty. Polk retired as Professor Emeritus of English at Mississippi State University after spending most of his academic career at the University of Southern Mississippi. ISBN 0801405351.
