Añadir al carritoHardcover. Condición: Very Good. Estado de la sobrecubierta: Very Good. First Edition. First edition. Foreword by Joseph Janse. Introduction by W. Heath Quigley. Tall octavo. xviii, 300pp. Recipient's owner name on the front fly. Binding cocked and gently bumped at the corners, purple endleaves a bit sunned at the edges, very good in a worn and sunned, very good dust jacket with small chips and tears and a few tiny stains. A Dedication Copy-of-sorts, Inscribed by the editor on the half-title: "To Dr Vivian Guze with every best wish Herman S. Schwartz." Vivian Guze was the widow of Dr. Henry Guze, a cofounder of the American Academy of Psychotherapists, the Society for Clinical and Experimental Hypnosis, and the Society for the Scientific Study of Sex. The Printed dedication reads: "This book is dedicated to the memory of George W. Hartmann, PH.D., Henry Guze, PH.D., William A. Watkinson, D.C. These three great men have during a period of thirty years been a major force in helping to make this book a reality." (Guze, who died in 1970, also contributed a chapter to the book: "The Role of Chiropractic in an Integrative Psychotherapy.") Laid in is a nice Typed Letter Signed to Dr. Vivian Guze, sending the book along, mentioning her late husband, and writing near the close: "I sense that you join me in the desire to fulfill Henry's wish that he could in some way do something for the promotion of this book, which has been so terribly costly for me in time, money and energy, to the point of exhaustion." (With the original typed envelope, heavily toned with some edgewear.) A Dedication copy of sorts, and a very nice association, regardless. Signed.
