En octobre 1945 a vu le jour une revue dont le titre Troisième Convoi rappelait cette phrase des Vases communicants : « Nous voyageurs du second convoi. » La revue Troisième Convoi fera paraitre cinq numéros entre 1945 et 1951 mais aucun entre 1948 et 1950. Ses fondateurs Michel Fardoulis-Lagrange et Jean Maquet en choisissant ce titre voulaient signifier que représentant par rapport au surréalisme une nouvelle génération ils entendaient non le rejeter mais aller plus loin dans le sens de l'intériorité.
