Cette désignation va être soumise à votre sanction. J'ai l'honneur de recommander particulièrement cet officier à votre bienveillance ; il a toute l'activité et la fermeté nécessaire pour justifier vos bontés, et, dans l'emploi honorable qu'il sollicité, il apportera le même zèle qui l'a toujours distingué dans sa longue carrière militaire.
