These illustrations, and the ones done for the first part of the story in the January 1937 issue, are the ONLY pulp work done by Raymond (Tom Roberts: Alex Raymond His Life and Art, pp 113-116). Fore corners bumped with exposed board. Splitting at ends of joints. Chipping with loss of material to head and tail of spine, patched with tape. Text block is age toned with moderate shelf wear and dust soiling on edges. Blind stamps on front flyleaf and title page. Title page is separated from binding as a result of splitting in the gutter.
