Presumed first edition (code 1216 - 36 with no additional printings listed; imprimatur dated 1931) , bound in simulated black leather over flexible cardboard, all edges red, two ribbon place markers, 3 3/8 x 5 7/8 inches, illustrated with several black and white drawings, index, 554 pp, rubrics, in Latin and English. Very good. Rubbed along edges with some of the top layer of the leather thus chipped off, tanning on endpapers, ends of ribbon place markers faded and frayed, otherwise tight, clean, paper crisp, unmarked and apparently never read. Harder to find.
