This is a follow-up pamphlet in which he responds to critics of his earlier anti-Catholic work.

This book is a verse translation written the Roman poet Horace in the 1st century BC. Gladstone was a classical scholar serving four terms as prime minister of the United Kingdom. He published this work the same year he resigned from his final premiership.
