Añadir al carritoA reprint of a 1954 address by Dr. G. T. Gillespie ".In Defense of the Principle of Racial Segregation" before The Synod of Mississippi of the Presbyterian Church. Gillespie argues, "The race problem in America arises inherently out of the concentration of large masses of the negro race in area predominantly Anglo-Saxon in racial type and in culture, and where the principle of racial segregation has been generally upheld by legal, social and moral sanctions" (p. 2). He contends that segregation need not lead to prejudice or discrimination, but that it is one of Nature's Universal Laws. He then defends segregation on Biblical grounds with accompanying Bible verses and concludes with profiles of segregationists Thomas Jefferson, Abraham Lincoln, and Booker T. Washington. Stapled wrappers (9" x 4"), 16 p. A near fine copy.
