Añadir al carritoHardcover. Condición: Fine. Estado de la sobrecubierta: Fine. Jenny Thorne Ilustrador. First U.S. edition. Here's another example (and there are many) of an author whose early children's books are completely ignored as soon as they publish a successful adult novel. Adair's award-winning novel "The Holy Innocents" was always described as his "first novel" which, in my view, disrespects this Peter Pan adventure and its predecessor "Alice Through the Needle's Eye" - excellent novels, both; and both published prior to that first adult novel. Anyway, one could natter away for ages about the interesting work of Mr Adair (who died at the end of 2011) but to confine ourselves to this listing, it has to be said that the relaxed, conversational style of the book does nothing to disguise the terrific quality of the writing. It's a fun story. Nine full page color plates, plus black & white drawings. First published in the U.K. by Macmillan in 1987, this is a fine copy, in fine dust jacket, of the pretty scarce U.S. first edition.
